Paul Forbes

Originally from Kansas City, Paul Forbes served as an Army officer after earning an engineering degree from the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Upon leaving the military, he worked for over a decade with Hallmark Cards including an international assignment. It was during his work in the developing world that Paul and his wife felt the call to full-time ministry, leaving Hallmark to become the executive pastor of their home church back in Kansas City, Kansas.

Given his education, experience, and gifting Paul always had an interest and passion for developing leaders. This took on a significant role in working with business leaders at the church. While working at his home church Paul learned of NCF (the National Christian Foundation), and their capabilities, and started using them personally. Several business owner friends then began utilizing NCF for enhanced & leveraged giving. This eventually opened the door for Paul to serve with NCF full time.

In his current role at NCF, Paul serves on various Foundation Boards, like E3 Ranch Foundation, and works with givers, business owners, leaders, and their families to explore areas of interest, do family succession & estate planning, as well as look at opportunities to leverage non-cash assets for tax minimization and greater generosity. Paul and his wife reside in Kansas City, have three grown kids and so far, 3 grandkids.
